Who can apply?

Any undergraduate enrolled at a UK university: medicine, engineering, computer science, design, or anywhere in between. Teams form on site.
What's the format?

A single-day championship on 7 November 2026. Doors open at 08:00; closing remarks at 18:00. Challenges are briefed at the start and judged at the end of the day.
Does it cost anything?

Nothing. Travel bursaries are available for attendees coming from outside Manchester. Indicate on the application and we'll be in touch.
What do winners get?

Internship offers with our Gold Partners (GSK, AstraZeneca, and Medtronic), along with a pitch slot with Future Health Ventures for the top three teams. There is no cash prize.
Do I need an idea before I arrive?

No. Challenges are briefed by sponsor clinicians during the Problem Statements session at 09:00, followed by technical workshops. You'll choose a track and assemble a team in the first hour.
Will meals be provided?

Yes. A 30-minute lunch break is scheduled at 12:30, with dietary options covered. Drinks and light refreshments run throughout the day.
Is the venue accessible?

The venue is step-free with accessible facilities and quiet rooms available on request. Flag any accommodations on the application form and we'll arrange them.
Can I come as a spectator or sponsor?
